Dear Family and Friends, As we prepare to celebrate our union, we are filled with gratitude for the love, support, and prayers each of you has shown us along the way. ❤️ As our wedding week has continued to take shape, we have made a few thoughtful adjustments to our schedule. Because several close family members will not be able to attend the full week, we have decided to scale back some of the originally planned group events and focus on a few meaningful moments where we can gather, celebrate, and enjoy time together. Our updated wedding week events will include:Thursday: Adults Night OutFriday: Picnic &amp; SpadesSaturday: Wedding Ceremony &amp; CelebrationSunday: Farewell Brunch For guests who will be in town and looking for additional activities, we have added local entertainment, restaurants, and attractions to the “Things to Do” tab so you can explore Des Moines at your own pace. A NOTE ABOUT CHILDRENWhile we love your little ones, our wedding celebration will remain an adults-only event, with the exception of the children who are part of the wedding party. Due to space limitations and the intimate nature of our venue, we are unable to accommodate additional children at the wedding events. Our July 18th wedding ceremony and celebration will remain an intimate gathering with a guest limit of 100 attendees. While we wish we could include everyone in person, we are doing our best to honor the space, the experience, and the people closest to us. For invited guests who are unable to physically attend due to health, mobility, or other limitations, we will offer a private virtual viewing option so you can still witness and celebrate this special moment with us. Details for the private viewing link will be shared directly with approved invited guests closer to the wedding date. Thank you for understanding the updates to our celebration. Our Wedding

It all started the modern way — on social media. On July 6, 2024, I noticed a friend request pop up from someone named Vincent. Naturally, my first thought was “Who is this?” So I did what any self-respecting woman would do: I slid right into his DMs and asked, “Do I know you?” He replied, “I don’t believe so, I just saw a beautiful face I’ve never seen — and noticed we had a few mutual friends.” Smooth, right? I told him, “That was a smooth answer!” And he came back with, “I wasn’t trying to be smooth. Just honest.”(dramatic eye roll and blush ) From that point on, he basically social-media-stalked me — in the most persistent, charming way possible — until I finally agreed to go on a date with him. Our first date was on July 18th to see Twister, and from that night on, he hasn’t missed a single “Good morning” or “Good night” text.Vincent has been patient, kind, and steady — especially when I was guarded and figuring out what I really wanted. Early on, he asked me what I wanted out of a relationship. I told him, “To know what real love feels like.”And now, I do. ❤️

It all started on July 6th, 2024, when I was casually scrolling through Facebook, not looking for love, just killing time... when I suddenly stopped. There she was: a stunning woman named Amina Cannie, with a smile that could light up any room (or in this case, my entire newsfeed). I had never seen her before! Which, in a city as close-knit as Des Moines, felt impossible... but something in me knew I’d never forget that face. So, like any single man with 20/20 vision (thanks to my contacts) and a little courage, I hit “Add Friend.”Before I could even send a message, my notifications lit up... Amina had messaged me first.Her words? The now-legendary: “Do we know each other?”We didn’t. But I knew right then that I definitely wanted to. After a few days of great conversation, laughter, and the kind of connection that just feels easy, I asked her out. Our first date was to see the movie “Twisters.” And it was perfect! Effortless conversation, nonstop smiles, and that unexplainable feeling that something special had just begun. From that day forward, not a single morning passed without a “Good morning” from me, and not a single night ended without my “Goodnight” being the last words she heard before falling asleep. Fast forward to September 24th, 2025 (Amina’s birthday). After spending the entire day celebrating her, I got down on one knee and asked her to be my wife. And that day, she made me the happiest man on Earth.

Some friendships are written in the stars — ours started back in second grade. From playground days to grown-up milestones, Ebonique has been my constant — my sister by choice, my confidant, and the God Mother to my child (as I am to hers).

We’ve weathered life’s highs and lows side by side — laughter, tears, growth, and everything in between — and through it all, our bond has only grown stronger. Having her stand by my side as my Maid of Honor is one of the greatest blessings of this journey.💕

Iyishea has been by my side through every season of life, from laughter-filled memories to late-night talks, and everything in between. She knows my heart like no one else does, and her love, strength, and loyalty have always grounded me.

Having her stand with me as my bridesmaid means the world, not just because she’s my sister, but because she’s one of my very best friends. I couldn’t imagine saying “I do” without her right there beside me, just like she’s always been. 💕
